EUR-Lex: service providing legal texts of the European Union

EUR-Lex provides extensive access to the legal texts of the European Union, such as: the Official Journal of the European Union, Treaties, binding act, series of documents of the European Commissions, judicial precedents of the European Court of Justice, as well as a set of consolidated legislation.

The portal is available in the 23 official languages of the European Union (including Polish).

The texts are published in accordance with the breakdown into particular domains applied in the Directory of Community legislation in force, and also in accordance with the volumes of the Special Edition of the Official Journal of the European Union. The number in parentheses informs about the number of translations available in a given chapter.

PreLex: monitoring of the decision-making process between institutions

PreLex provides a possibility to follow the most important stages of a decision-making process between the Commission and the other institutions of the EU, and also enables insight into the works of particular institutions (the European Parliament, the Council, the European Economic and Social Committee, the Committee of the Regions, the European Central Bank, the Court of Justice etc.).

A website related to the PreLex base is Europejska Debata Publiczna (European Public Debate) - an interactive portal where comments and opinions on particular proposals of documents and legal acts submitted by the European Commission may be published.
